Frontier expanded into the Alva-Enid market with
the purchase of Enid Freight Lines in 1981. Also that year, they
began operating Pioneer Express which served along interstate 40
to the Texas state line to include such points as Clinton, Weatherford,
Elk City, and Sayre. Pioneer was merged with Frontier in 1983.
D&M Transportation, with both interstate and
contract authority, was formed in 1982 to meet demands for truck
load service and Just In Time service. Initially, all drivers were
company employees, but in 1996 owner operators augmented the fleet
to meet growing customer demands. D&M's trailer fleet is primarily
48 and 53 foot, 102 inch high dry vans.
In 1985, Frontier received intrastate authority
to serve Tulsa county, placing them in the northeastern Oklahoma
market.
In 1988, they purchased the interstate authority
of Manning Truck Lines and began serving such points as Pauls Valley
and Ardmore in southern Oklahoma. In May of 1991 they were granted
intrastate authority to service additional southern Oklahoma points
to include Chickasha and Lawton, Oklahoma.
To meet customer demands, they expanded into all
aspects of transportation, distribution, and warehousing in 1991
with the acquisition of D&M Distribution Services, Inc., a Certified
Minority Business Enterprise, and its 160,000+ square foot public
warehouse facility. D&M 3rd Party Logistics was added and in
1994, we organized our resources as Dallas-Miller Logistics and
positioned ourselves to meet future challenges and opportunities
in the market place as an asset based logistical provider.
Among all the employees within the Dallas-Miller
Logistics companies there is an enthusiasm and positive attitude
toward the future and a confidence in fulfilling customer logistical
needs. New equipment has been purchased and further purchases are
budgeted to continually update our fleet, facilities, and communication
capabilities. The management team is strong and balanced with the
expertise to take them to new prominence.
